Chasselas

Chasselas (also known as Dorin, Wälscher, Chasselas de Moissac, Moster, Marzemina Bianca and Gutedel) is a white grape variety which is widely planted around the world. Chasselas is vinified to be a full, dry and fruity white wine, however this diverse grape can produce sharp, fruity wines in France, yet sweet wines in New Zealand. It can also be grown as a suitable table grape - in Turkey it is grown widely for this specific purpose. This grape thrives well in a climate where summers are hot with a moderate breeze, cool springtime, and harvest months with some rainfall.
